Clark College is currently accepting applications for a full-time, permanent classified Program Manager B in the Financial Aid Department.

Position Responsibilities
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
  • Manage document intake and imaging process for physical and electronic documents submitted which impact Federal, State and Institutional Aid Program eligibility.
  • Establish, interpret, and implement policies and standard documented procedures for front desk processes, scanning and retention of documents, auditing checklists in PeopleSoft and adding and removing Financial Aid holds.
  • Counsel students and problem solve for special circumstances (Independent Status and Homeless Determination) to ensure timely determinations and student communications.
  • Run queries in PeopleSoft to create report to review, process, and delegate work to the Financial Aid front desk staff for outreach opportunities.
  • Manage various student facing communications.
  • Create communications in HighPoint and send to student groups.
  • Utilize mail merge to send specific communications to students.
  • Oversee staff and assist in coordinating FAFSA/WASFA outreach events and foster partnerships with community-based organizations who assist with the completion of applications.
  • Manage the Service indicators for the Financial Aid Office and work with the Business Office to ensure tuition holds are placed and removed at appropriate times.
  • Fiscal Reporting and Fund Management for the Financial Aid Office.
  • Review income, expense, revenue account, payroll operational and budget status reports and reconcile accounts monthly.
  • Provide budget forecasts to management to ensure annual spending is on track.
  • Complete and submit Personnel Action Request forms for part-time employees and submit IT renewals.
  • Create work orders to the Facilities Department when staff or equipment needs to be moved or installed.
  • Purchase and order office supplies and complete budget transfers when required.
  • Provide direct customer service support and train staff to serve students through formats including virtual, email, phone, and in person, with excellent customer service skills focused om bringing equity and justice lens.
  • Supervises and directs work for student employees, full-time and part-time staff.

Qualifications
POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCIES:
Candidates will be evaluated based on application materials, including the supplemental questions and personal interview(s), and will be required to demonstrate competencies in the following areas:
  • Associate's degree.
  • Fiscal/budgetary management experience with the ability to forecast expenditure and reconcile accounts.
  • One (1) year of successful Financial Aid experience, current experience with Financial Aid computer-based systems, and administration of federal and state Financial Aid regulations or related experience.
  • Two (2) years of supervisory experience.

SALARY/BENEFITS: Salary Range: $4,385-$5,900/month | Step A-M (commensurate with qualifications and experience) | Range: 51 | Code: 107S
Successful candidates typically start at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases.
