Role Overview:
As the Program Leader (Teacher) - FlexCare, you will:
- Lead and Inspire: Direct a team of dedicated childcare professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration. You will not only actively lead the FlexCare space and curriculum, but also supervise between 2-7 fractional caretakers.
- Strategize and Implement: Develop and execute flexible care strategies that incorporate progressive child-centered educational philosophies such as Montessori and play-based learning.
- Build Relationships: Serve as the primary liaison with families, ensuring their needs and expectations are exceeded.
- Drive Innovation: Play a pivotal role in the strategic planning and evolution of our FlexCare services, setting new standards in flexible childcare.
Role Responsibilities:
- Be on-site at the facility 40 hours/week; Hours and days may vary as it can be dependent on childcare reservations.
- Lead the classroom activities and FlexCare room.
- Supervise assistant staff caretakers that aid you in the FlexCare room and or the front desk.
- Manage relationships and communications with members (parents) and their children.
- Assist in interviewing and hiring of assistant staff caretakers.
- Assist ownership in FlexCare strategy and design.
Who We're Looking For:
- A minimum of 5 years experience in early childhood education
- Experience with Montessori or similar progressive pedagogy or those with significant daycare management experience is not necessary, but preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership ability, with a track record of managing teams and fostering professional development is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, capable of building trust and rapport with families and staff.
- A visionary thinker passionate about advancing flexible childcare solutions.
- Long-term focused. We want the person in this role to be with us for the long-haul and contribute to our growth plans.
