Position Summary: The Program Evaluator will collaborate with the Center for Workforce Development (CWD) team to evaluate funded projects on behavioral health Workforce Development. The Program Evaluator will be responsible for designing and analyzing project data, formulating research objectives and priorities, preparing progress reports and grant applications, writing scientific papers and publications, presenting research findings, and participating in other program evaluation-related activities, as required.

Primary Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the development, implementation, and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data to evaluate the short- and long-term impacts of the College’s Workforce Development initiatives.
  • Design tools to collect data through surveys, interviews, and focus groups.
  • Perform data cleaning, data management, and data analysis.
  • Maintain accurate records of program evaluation data and safeguard the confidentiality of program participants.
  • Use creativity and knowledge to develop, enhance, and improve existing program evaluation methodologies, processes, and approaches.
  • Conduct literature reviews to support research projects and proposals.
  • Prepare reports for submission to granting agencies and funders.
  • Prepare materials for Human Subjects Committee reviews.
  • Prepare proposals for new research-related activities, including assisting in the preparation of grant applications and contract proposals.
  • Write scientific articles and manuscripts for publications and presentations.
  • Participate in research meetings, seminars, conferences, and related settings.
  • Cultivate and maintain positive and productive relationships with students, staff, faculty, internal departments and programs, and external partner agencies.
  • Work as part of a team to develop and implement project plans and timelines and ensure that project deliverables are high-quality and completed on time.
  • Perform other related duties, as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications:

  • A master’s degree in a social sciences field, program evaluation, or educational research from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of relevant research experience.
  • A strong commitment to promoting diversity and multicultural competence in an educational, research, and work environment.
  • Ability to interact and work well with individuals from diverse educational, socio-economic, and cultural backgrounds.
  • Experience using qualitative and quantitative data collection tools and research methodologies (e.g., surveys, structured and open-ended interviews, focus groups, and observations).
  • Knowledge of statistical concepts and methods and their application to research.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent writing, editing and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to use editing and publishing tools effectively; and produce high-quality scholarly work.
  • Familiarity with database management and statistical software (e.g., SPSS, Qualtrics, and NVivo).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Zoom, and other web-based tools.
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced and multidisciplinary team setting.
