The City of Lake Forest's Sailing Program (LFS) is one of the premier community sailing programs in the country and is accredited by U.S Sailing.
The Sailing Program utilizes a wide variety of fleet, such as:
- 420s
- Sail Cubes
- Zodiac hard-bottom inflatables
- Colgate 26
- Aide the water sailing and boating introductory instructions
- Plan and execute the hosting of events such as sailing regattas and community boating events
- Administer watercraft permits
- Manage operations of Launch Basin, Boating Center, and Boat Storage Areass
- Assist with planning of regatta, clinic hosting, marketing, & fundraising initiatives
- Complete other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's Degree, preferred, experience may be considered in lieu of education
- At least 1 year experience in a similar role, specifically with boating and water safety and operations
- US Power Boating Instructor Certification, or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Possess strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work positively with residents and staff
