Description Responsibilities
Serve as first-line source of information for 1199SEIU members and staff on WorkForce 2000 program
Screen telephone calls, create schedules, maintain program calendars and database information
Prepare monthly reports on file audits, parent and student contact information, enrollment, and attendance
Initiate and provide follow up with students, parents, internal and external staff regarding enrollment, attendance and facilitates internal and external inquiries regarding programming
Assist in program scheduling, calendar activities, supply inventory, mailing, and data compilation
Facilitate logistics, support and preparation for annual program events and special projects
Coordinate all youth program mailings, email and phone correspondence
Provide onsite support and relationship building for the Summer Work Internship Program, Saturday Academic Program at NYU, and other field work activities to support programs mission.
Maintain program inventory and supplies, coordinate with internal staff on all orders for program materials
Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by management
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required; Some College or Degree preferred
Minimum two (2) of experience in a clerical support role in a general or office environment
Proficient skill level in Microsoft Word and Excel
Excellent keyboarding skills: able to use basic Web browser applications and conduct searches required
Demonstrated effectiveness meeting deadlines in a role requiring continual attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
Ability to work flexible hours including occasional Saturdays and evenings required
