Compensation Range: $19/hr - $21/hr commensurate with experience
Overview:
Housing Works seeks a Program Assistant to provide support to the Healthcare Department primarily in areas of audit, compliance and operations. The Program Assistant will be responsible for the following: 1. Performing activities intended to monitor the Health Services Department's adherence to all agency, local, state, and Federal regulations. 2. Providing administrative support to the Healthcare Compliance Department. 3. Performing regular audit of multiple programs in the Health Services portfolio. 4. Establishing and maintaining communication regarding the compliance program with healthcare program leadership and staff. This position reports to the Healthcare Data and Project Manager; it works closely with members of the Healthcare Administration, Healthcare Operations, Primary Care and Behavioral Health, Data, Quality Initiative, and Housing Works Compliance Teams. A successful candidate will have a passion for precision, the ability to quickly master new systems, and a commitment to improving the health of the clients that we serve. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular audits for all health care department programs
- Run canned reports from various databases
- Provide analysis and prepare presentations on audit findings
- Provide administrative assistance for meeting coordination and documentation
- Develop and assist with the Healthcare Policy Manual
- Comply with all requirements surrounding client confidentiality
- Participate in advocacy efforts and direct action to end the twin crises of homelessness and AIDS.
- Commit to working toward Ending the AIDS epidemic in NY State.
- Complete special projects as requested
- Associate degree and/or bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- One year minimum experience of related work
- Experience working in a team-based environment
- Strong ability to receive written or verbal instructions and apply them to work tasks
- Demonstrated record of completing assignments on time with great attention to detail
- Basic knowledge of data collection and how to look at quantitative reports
- Ability to think critically about data related to gender, sexuality, race, housing status, etc.
- Curiosity about how and why things work the way they do and how to improve them
- Willing and able to arrive to work on time, five days a week. (Both remote and in person work may be required)
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Experience with eClinical Works is preferred
