Program Analyst I

CardWorks Servicing ("CWS") is one of the largest privately-held provider of outsourcing services for bankcard-related products to banks and non-bank lenders in North America. CWS offers management expertise across the credit spectrum and supports both MasterCard and Visa accounts as well as a variety of private label debit, credit, stored value, and customer bankcards.

Position Summary:

The Program Analyst will join our thriving Data & Analytics team.  This role will be heavily focused on modeling related to various priorities and projects being driven by the Data team, that broadly supports our lines of business across both CardWorks and Merrick Bank. We seek those who have specific knowledge of and experience with AI and ML solutions.

Essential functions you will be asked to fulfill:

Data & Analytics

• Design, Implement and report actionable intelligence using data from internal and external sources for leadership across the organization.
• Help leadership identify and interpret trends in datasets to drive insights using a variety powerful cloud-based technologies, including AWS, Snowflake, & Domo.
• Assist in implementing auditable data controls while adhering to critical data governance guidelines.
• Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to understand business problems and translate them into technical specifications for AI and ML solutions.
• Design, develop, and test AI and ML models using various programming languages and frameworks, such as Python and TensorFlow.
• Integrate ML models into production systems using DevOps practices and cloud platforms.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of ML models, identifying and addressing potential issues.
• Document AI and ML solutions, including model descriptions, code, and deployment procedures.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and ML technologies.

We are seeking the following education & experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, specialized Computer Science or related degree.

• Strong understanding of AI and ML concepts, including machine learning algorithms, model evaluation, and model deployment. 

• 3+ years of experience in programming with Python, R, or other relevant languages.
• Hands-on software development experiences 
• UI development experiences with HTML, CSS, JavaScript is a plus. 
• Relational database concept and experiences in SQL is a plus.
• Experience with cloud platforms, such as AWS or Azure, is a plus.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Position can allow for a hybrid work model after a short initial in-office training/onboarding period.
