Duties and Responsibilities :- Increase international student interest and enrollment through lead generation, telemarketing, and social media.
- Increase study abroad/away interest and enrollment through lead generation, telemarketing, and social media.
- Assist with scheduling and coordinating international student and study abroad/away appointments, information sessions, orientation, programs, events, etc.
- Coordinate with University Relations Marketing (URM) office in producing promotional flyers, media, and updates to the website.
- Respond to student inquiries regarding international student processes and study abroad/away application process and procedures via phone, email, and in-person.
- Support the cultural student clubs; and assist with international student advising and study abroad advising as needed.
- Interact with internal and external stakeholders of the University. Handle sensitive and confidential information with tact and discretion.
- Suggest, recommend, and implement new or revised office procedures and practices.
- Assist Director with maintaining accurate records of budgetary transactions, create purchase orders, and collect invoices to prepare budget reports reflecting office expenditures. Assist Director with scheduling office meetings and other department meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director.
A bachelors degree is required.
Experience:- Four years of experience in a clerical to paraprofessional duties related to the day-to-day operations of a program or office in a college/university environment; preferably with the international student population and/or study abroad/away programs.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities :
- Proficiency in another language other than English preferred.
- Work patiently and supportively with prospective and current students, applicants and their families.
- Excellent interpersonal and phone skills.
- Great organizational skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Suite required.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to customer service.
Conditions of Employment :
A skills level assessment will be administered to candidates on Microsoft 2016 Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
