Professional Services Engineer

Salary: $75,000-$90,000

The IT Company is Growing and We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Professional Services Engineer to join our team. As a Professional Services Engineer, you will be a key contributor in delivering exceptional technical solutions and support to our clients. Your expertise will encompass a wide range of IT areas, including LAN and WAN networking, server and desktop operating systems, virtualization, security technologies, configuration backup, and recovery software. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment and demonstrate your specialized knowledge. 

Responsibilities: 

• LAN and WAN Networking: Design, configure, and troubleshoot LAN and WAN environments to ensure seamless and secure network connectivity for our clients. 
• Server and Desktop Operating Systems: Deploy and manage server and desktop operating systems, ensuring they are up-to-date, secure, and efficient. 
• Virtualization: Utilize your expertise in virtualization technologies (e.g., Microsoft, Citrix, VMWare) to optimize resource utilization and enhance IT infrastructure. 
• Server, Workstation, and Network Security: Implement and adhere to best practices in server, workstation, and network security to protect our clients' sensitive data. 
• Configuration and Implementation of Security Technologies: Set up and manage various security technologies, including Firewalls, EDR, MDR, SEIM, and other relevant solutions, to safeguard against potential threats. 
• Configuration Backup and Recovery: Develop and implement data backup and recovery strategies to ensure business continuity for our clients. 
• Project Management: Lead and manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring successful completion within agreed timelines and budgets. 
• Collaboration on New Ideas and Technologies: Work with the team to explore, evaluate, and implement innovative systems and technologies to improve service offerings. 
• Analyzing and Improving Existing Systems and Technologies: Continuously assess existing IT systems and technologies, identifying areas for enhancement and implementing appropriate solutions.

Requirements: 

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. 
• Certifications: Relevant industry certifications are a plus (e.g., CCNA, MCSA, VCP, ITIL). 
• Experience: 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure, networking, and security, preferably in a Managed Services Provider environment. 
• Technical Skills: 
• Proficiency in LAN and WAN networking protocols and technologies. 
• Strong understanding of server and desktop operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS). 
• Familiarity with virtualization platforms, such as Microsoft Hyper-V, Citrix, and VMware. 
• Knowledge of network security concepts and best practices. 
• Experience configuring and managing Firewalls, EDR, MDR, SEIM, and other security technologies. 
• Familiarity with data backup and recovery solutions. 
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. 
• Communication: Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients and internal teams.
