Form of workThe Professional Services Consultant at HERE Technologies will report to the Americas Professional Services Delivery Lead and is a customer facing, hands-on, technical software engineer responsible for design, development, and testing software solutions, delivering technical implementations, and/or integrating the HERE products and / or solution in production systems. They can own the technical elements of a Professional Services engagement through the entire lifecycle, from scoping to implementation.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze customer problem statements and project requirements.
- Design, develop, and test software solution based on the requirement analysis.
- Manage the scope of work through solid project management best practices.
- Generate project artifacts such as architecture diagrams, flow charts, specification document, and release notes.
- Participate in peer code review and other internal technical review processes.
- Act as a key liaison with Solution Architects, Solution Engineers, and Product teams for the technical aspects of delivery.
- Manage the transition of the initial delivery to the support team responsible for maintenance & support of the solution.
- Support and work closely with the customer, Delivery/ Engagement Managers, fellow Delivery Engineers, and external consultants to successfully implement project deliverables.
- Assist in identifying recurring requirements, and opportunities to expand solution engineering capabilities.
This role will be expected to operate with a high-level of autonomy while adhering strictly to a consistent global operating model and delivery approach. It will require a customer centric, innovative mindset to ensure HERE can address the largest possible percentage of customer needs relative to HERE’s domain. This position will also need to have a keen awareness of when to escalate issues that may arise.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- 5 years’ experience in software development, preferably in an Engineering/Technical Professional Services / Consulting organization (preferably IT), implementing complex technology solutions remotely or on client / customer site.
- Experience as a Software Engineer is a must; proven track record and experience with software engineering (design and coding), analysis and implementation skills (in customer facing roles)
- Education: B.S. or B.A. required in Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant field of studies
