We are currently hiring an Optical Machine Operator (Production Worker)
Available Work Schedules:
1st Shift (6am-2:30pm): Sun-Thurs or Tues-Sat or Fri-Mon (no Mon-Fri openings)
2nd Shift (2pm-10:30pm): Sun-Thurs or Tues-Sat or Fri-Mon (no Mon-Fri openings)
3rd Shift (10pm-6:30am): Mon-Fri only
New Starting Rate: $21 per hour + shift differential up to 25% + signing bonus

What you’ll do:

• Prepare and clean lenses to load into trays for processing.
• Ensure lenses are clean of dust and debris.
• Loading, sorting and prepping lenses for processing.
• Monitor machine status for auto surfacing line that generates Rx prescription.
• Use or load specialized coating machines to add treatments to surfaced lenses.
• Set up lenses into racks, feed, or load lenses into machine.
• Visual inspection of the lenses after process.
• May include inserting completed lenses into frames.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience in the Optical Industry as it relates to ophthalmic lenses is a plus.
• Must be willing to work overtime when needed (may include weekends or holidays).
• Able to read and write English language.

Physical Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this job, most positions will require the employee to stand and use hands to manipulate or handle lenses or lab trays.
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
