The Novelis plant located in Davenport, IA has an immediate opening for a Plant Utility. This position reports to the Production Supervisor.Responsibilities & Qualifications:

The Novelis plant located in Davenport, IA has an immediate opening for a Plant Utility. This position reports to the Production Supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Required to be knowledgeable of all phases of sheet coating.
- Must be able to safely and efficiently operate mobile equipment.
- Basic computer skills are required.
- Knowledgeable about plant safety rules and departmental safety practices.
- Good verbal communication skills are required.
- Must be knowledgeable, able to train for and perform at minimum, three jobs within the department.
- Must be able to work as part of a team.
- GED or High School Diploma
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Able to perform, at a minimum, three positions on Paint Line; after training.
- Assists Payoff operator.
- Assists rewind operator.
- Operates forklift.
- Assists in skidding of coils.
- Assists in removal of scrap.
- Grinds rolls.
- Checks chemical levels.
- Performs environmental audits.
