The Production WorkerforNeck Mill will operate various woodworking machinery, such as saws, planers, and sanders to shape and prepare wood components for guitar production. They are responsible for assembling the various components of a guitar including the neck and hardware following specific manufacturing instructions and quality standards. Production workers ensure the quality of the finished products by inspecting the guitars for defects, making necessary adjustments, and reporting any issues to maintain the company's production standards.
Essential Functions
- Material management inside conditioning room, including monitoring moisture content of wood.
- Glue-up of Fret boards and neck.
- Plane wood to specified dimension/thickness.
- Moving wood pieces from station to station / monitoring climate carts.
- Measure thickness specifications.
- Prepping bodies, including drilling jack hole and installing paint handles.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
- Preferred 6 months - 1 year manufacturing experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with use of guitar building hand tools.
