Production Worker

• Scope and Responsibilities
• The Production Worker will ensure that the proper raw material is being loaded into the machine to start the initial process of production. The Production Worker will ensure that the filled product is properly removed from the machine and stacked properly on the rack for cooling or cooking. The Production Worker will proper place filled product on the conveyor belts. The Production Worker will immediately report any issues to the shift production supervisor. The Production Worker will follow all safety guidelines and food manufacturing regulations to ensure that safe, quality products are being produced at all times.
• Position Duties/ Responsibilities:
• Bring raw material to production floor from storage area using pallet jack
• Lift raw materials, finished products and packed items
• Load material and products into processing machines/equipment/racks and conveyor belt
• Load products onto equipment/racks properly
• Examine and inspect bags for leaks; cut bags necessary for rework
• Examine and inspect totes, product to aid in verifying correct product is being loaded
• Monitors production line to ensure running efficiently
• Assist machine operators by performing lesser duties when required
• Assures food safety standards with regards to GMP's and HAACP plan are followed at all times
• Maintains neat and clean work area at all times
• Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
• Ability to take initiative; self motivated to produce results
• Must move with sense of urgency
• Ability to follow instructions
• Ability to communicate effectively and clearly
• Availability to work outside of normally scheduled shift hours and work overtime when required
• Education/Experience:
• High school diploma or GED
• Work Environment:
• Will work in environment where safety precautions are required to be followed
• Protective gear such as gloves, work boots and smocks required at all times
• Will work around moving machinery
• Physical Demands:
• Moderate to heavy physical effort required
• Regularly required to walk, stand, bend for long periods of time throughout the day
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Able to push/pull heavy loads

Notes from supplier

We currently work 6-7 days a week: Line 1 employees work Monday

Friday and Line 3 employees working Mon-Sunday ; we are expecting to go to our normal 5 day production week by end of March.

oWe will let you know which positions are for Line 1 vs Line 3 so that you can clearly communicate their schedule. My only request is for the Line 1 to inform that they could be required to work some Saturdays and Sundays to rotate to give other employees off

oWe run 8 hours shifts and flexibility to stay late is required when needed

Shift hours: we do require flexibility as shifts do not end exactly on time; so employees must stay until work is completed

o1st shift ? 6:45a -3:00pm ** Every Monday 1st shift must report at 5:45am and the rest of week they will report at 6:45a

o2nd shift hours: 2:45p-11:00pm

o3rd shift hours: 10:45p-7:00am **all 3rd shift employee responsible for working sanitation every Sunday night

Wage/Pay: Employees are paid weekly and direct deposit is required. Pay period is Monday ? Sunday and any hours worked over 40 is paid at overtime rate

oAll positions: $12.50 + .50 cent shift differential = $13.00 per hour

o3rd shift positions are paid an additional $1.00 per hour for their sanitation work on Sundays

oLoaders (Line 1)? require heavy pushing and pulling; using pallet jack to; must be able to lift up to 50lbs with no assistance

oSpiral Loaders (Line 1 / Line 3)? required to stand in one area for long periods of time; will reach and bend to place bags of product properly on spiral belt; will rotate between lines

oStackers ( Line 3) will stack/place product on racks to ensure cooked properly ** prefer LL*

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.50 - $13.00 per hour
