Production Worker

Production Assembler Essential Duties:

• Produces components by assembling parts and subassemblies.
• Performs assembly duties to produce panelized components for modular building assembly.
• Positions or aligns components and parts, either manually or with hoists.
• Uses hand tools or machines to assemble parts.
• Needs to be able to read a standard tape measure and apply measurements to proper cut and fit.
• Pulls raw material as needed.
• Applies specialized glue for panel assembly.
• Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out one or two-step procedures.
• Prepares work to be accomplished by studying parts lists and gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
• Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
• Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies.
• Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
• Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
• Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs.
• Cuts special order panes for custom windows, doors and other applications.
• Utilizes plant equipment (industrial panel saw and folding machine, shear machine, fork lift, power tools, glue processor, etc.) as directed.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
• Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
• Conducts quality control checks.
• Cleans and maintains work area and equipment, including tools.

Job Requirements:

• Physical stamina and strength
• Must be capable at lifting 50 lbs. and working in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time, use both hands with dexterity, reach with arms extended, stoop, kneel and crouch.

• Ability to read a measuring tape (metric).

• Dexterity and hand-eye coordination, including the ability to grasp, manipulate, and assemble parts and components

Benefits:

• Contract (1099)
• 4 Day Work Week Monday - Thursday (4:30 PM - 2:30 AM)
• Overtime (Friday - Saturday) as needed

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
