We are seeking a qualified Production Welder on 2nd shift in our manufacturing plant (CPI) in Des Moines, IA.
The following list of job tasks and machine tools and equipment used is intended to be a representative example of the classification and may not include all the functions of the classification.
Some of the duties include:
- Operate stick electrode welders.
- Operate wire gun welders pulse.
- Operate weld fixtures.
- Read drawings and build special forms and/or equipment from mech. drawings.
- Use and read measuring tape accurately to 1/64.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by supervision.
- Record labor accurately on work order and time sheets.
- Perform quality audit process.
- Operate material handling equipment.
- Clean work area on daily basis.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance.
Requirements:
Knowledge of welding and procedures pass weld test. Must be able to read mechanical drawings. High school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job.
Final candidates will be required to pass a post-offer pre-employment physical and drug screen.
