EPC has an opportunity at the Las Vegas, Nevada facility for a Production Technician- Special Products.
Role Description:
- Follow written procedures to test, remove client data, and factory reset networking gear, appliances, and other data center type environment
- Accurately record all relevant conditional issues, logs, product inventory, and erasure documents into EPC's inventory Management Software
- Perform minor diagnostic tests to identify IT equipment grade.
- Must always adhere to proper procedures by maintaining quality of work while meeting minimum quota standards.
- Document and report products that deviate from approved procedures to assist with correcting and updating procedures
Requirements:
Experience
- Experience using basic computer software.
Skills
- Strong technical skills including the ability to effectively utilize technology and the commitment to learning in the technology environment
- In depth understanding of diverse computer systems, networking gear, appliances, and other data center type equipment
- Must have good data entry skills
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to type 50wpm or faster
Physical
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Must be able to work 8 hours shifts while performing the duties of this job.
- Must be able to regularly bend, twist, and reach.
- Use a pallet jack to move IT equipment from dock to workstation.
- Must be able to handle IT equipment by reading and identifying serial printed letters, numbers, symbols, and model information with a small font size.
Working Conditions:
- Help maintain a clean and organized workplace
- Should be open to extra hours, such as weekly overtime, in a fast-paced environment.
- Moderate noise levels throughout the day
Personal Skills
- Must be able to use common sense when performing job tasks
- Must be able to meet or exceed production goals, follow procedures, and adhere to quality requirements
- Must be able to work well with others and perform teamwork environment
Associates degree or higher in computer technology, A+ Certification and/or IT or relevant electronic experience or education are preferred but not required.
