Production Technician

Position Description

The Production Technician will move materials around the facilities. Using the utmost care, the Production Technician could involve driving a Forklift around warehouses, storage spaces and other facilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Unload materials and merchandise from incoming trucks and stack to assigned places
• Locate and move products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment
• Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies
• Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance
• Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs
• Comply with company policies and legal guidelines
• Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities

Performance Objectives

Ensuring that the material and products will always be at the right place to achieve maximum efficiency.

Qualifications

· Proven experience as a forklift driver

· Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment

· Excellent physical condition and coordination

· Communication and teamwork skills

· Commitment to safety rules

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock. The employee occasionally works in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment.
