Job responsibilities
- Responsible for operating equipment associated with the processes of extrusion, or casting, and handling of aluminum product.
- Complies with all Job Safe Practices (JSP's)
- Reviews and follows all Standard Operating procedures for processes
- Ensures that quality objectives are met
- Operates extrusion or casting equipment
- Reports and reviews any unusual conditions with the supervisor or lead person, or other designated appropriate person.
- Reports on production results and department measurables
- Actively works to correct any unsafe conditions
- Interacts daily with other Team Members, and representatives of other departments
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing/production experience
- Solid verbal and written communication skills
- Experience operating industrial equipment
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment and on problem solving activities
- Ability to operate a forklift and other mobile equipment
- Must be able to work all shifts
Preferred Qualifications:
Post high school education is a plus
