Big Picture of the Job: Responsible for supporting production work cells through the efficient supply of needed parts, boxes and inserts to keep direct labor employees producing. Performs any non-direct task including movement of product and waste to and from the Regulator Assembly area. Responds to lights at cells to promptly provide pulled orders.
What will I do everyday:
Works safely and supports safety within their team across the organization – as required.
Participates in safety training and demonstrates a high regard for safety at all times.
Wears PPE as required by safety regulations.
Collect Kanban bins, empties, wire baskets, cardboard flats
Using push cart from Stock Room, travels through designated route, collecting Kanban bins, empty bins, wire baskets and cardboard flats.
Once cart is full, sorts and puts away items collected before returning to route.
Returns empty bins on carts to stock room, and places extra identified parts in designated area in Stockroom.
Stage Orders at Cells
When yellow light is on at work cell, pulls staged order to the proper cell.
Retrieves appropriate order from pulled orders in Stock Room.

Stock boxes and inserts at cells
Maintains inventory for which boxes and inserts are needed at cell.
Retrieves boxes/inserts from storage rack.
Stocks cell with boxes/inserts.
Breaks down empty boxes and places in cardboard recycling bin.
Partners with facility certified forklift drivers to pull down racked packaging as needed.
Retrieve Missing Parts for Cells
Utilizes tracking sheet to list part number and cell number to which the part numbers are to be returned.
Retrieves parts from the Stock Room by using pick list for location of low lying items including labels. High rise orders will be requested to supervisor.
Initials tracking sheet to verify parts have been properly removed from Stock Room.
Accurate record keeping to identify trends in part errors.
Remains trained in Stockroom locations and parts.
Finished Product Movement
Monitors finished products in assembly to determine movement to designated area in distribution
Manages distribution shipping cut offs deadlines to ensure customer product is shipped as requested or in a timely manner.
6S Functions
Accountable for general housekeeping functions as related to 6S and overall plant cleanliness and maintenance.
Support Department and Company Initiatives
Works on cost saving projects, Six Sigma projects, and provides support for other team members and projects.
Attends team meetings.
Utilizes lean tools and techniques such as 6S and visual factory concepts in maintaining order and cleanliness.
Performs additional tasks to support production as needed or directed by supervisor or management.
Education and/or Experience
Required – 2 or more years of related work experience and High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred – Experience related to manufacturing; some computer knowledge. Fork Lift certified.
