Job Description
This position will focus on the profitability reporting process.
The person in this position will act as a liaison between business and technical organization by planning, conducting, and directing the analysis of highly complex SOR's and the products and processing therein. The position requires a balance of strong business/finance skills along with a solid understanding of databases and systems and the ability to communicate effectively across groups
Responsibilities include:
- Support the Wholesale Profitability platform by researching, analyzing, and responding to user tickets in a timely fashion. This process includes understanding the business issue to be solved, utilizing front end systems as well as databases to conduct research, and communicating findings to end users.
- Proven ability to elicit, analyze, and formalize business and data requirements with a strong understanding of SDLC methodology
- Perform User Acceptance Testing of application changes prior to production deployment as well as conduct post production validation.
- Understand the needs and help manage expectations of profitability and cross-sell platform business needs. Serve as SME to validate the profitability and cross-sell project data requirements and design will meet the overall business needs
- Work with end-user groups and System of Record SME's (business, operational and technology) to facilitate working sessions to understand the product portfolio, contract structures, business process and transactional analysis, GL accounting process and data feeds
- Support technical design discussions with profitability systems partners
- Function in a highly interdependent atmosphere and collaborate with people in different locations while working independently and proactively
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of experience in business systems analysis and/or design and in data analysis
Minimum Qualifications
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Familiarity and understanding of Wholesale banking organization and products
- Strong analysis and problem solving skills
- Demonstrated relationship management skills
- Experience working with system development life cycle processes
- Solid understanding of relational database concepts
- Intermediate SQL query abilities using tools such as TOAD Data Point, MS SQL Server, etc
- Demonstrated ability to work independently
- Experience/exposure to Financial Business Intelligence and Analysis tools, particularly Oracle OBIEE
No DAC(Data Warehouse Application Console) expertise is required by the resource. Good understanding of OBIEE reporting layer along with troubleshooting capabilities is fine.
