Responsibilities:
- Supervise the labor schedule to maximize output and productivity, and minimize overtime
- Reduce waste in a safety-conscious way to meet production requirements
- Ensure items produced meet product specifications*
- Proactive involvement in the development of the production schedules
- Collaborate proactively with Production Manager, Production Supervisors, and Operations Manager to share knowledge, recommendations, staffing, and other resources to accomplish goals and measurable objectives.
- Address employee relations issues in a responsive manner that is timely, strategic, proactive, consistent, and fair
- Document and report issues to the Production Manager and Human Resources timely
- Collaborate with the Production Manager to identify and implement training, cross-training, and safety training across the plant.
- Support implementation of GMPs, Rework and Allergen program, SSOPs, Chemical program*
- Proactively train staff in one-on-one and mentoring situations based on each employee's capabilities and talents. Ongoing, cross-train the production line to ensure current levels of job knowledge across the plant.
- Ensure all production records are maintained to meet ongoing regulatory compliance
- Ensure the accuracy of production reporting and the timely delivery of such reports to the office. *
- Ensure all fire exits are not blocked and that fire extinguisher, eyewash stations, first aid cabinet inventory, and other equipment are continuously available.
- Collaborate with QA, Maintenance, Sanitation, and Warehouse to proactively address the issue. *
- Maintain all standards relating to SQF, GMPs, HACCP and Food Safety and suggest areas for improvement where needed. *

Training Requirements:
Each incumbent must complete training and testing on the following topics upon hire and on an annual basis after that:
- Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
- HACCP
- Food Safety
- Allergens
- Chemicals
- Lock Out-Tag Out
Education/Experience:
- Must be Bilingual (English / Spanish)
- 2-3 years of supervisory experience in a food manufacturing environment
- High School diploma or equivalent GED required BA/BS preferred
- Knowledge of GMP in Manufacturing, Packing, or Holding Human Food, as well as a thorough knowledge of FDA and USDA regulations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Outlook. Knowledge of Word and Excel is helpful
- Working knowledge of ERP tools
Literacy:
- Ability to understand documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Work Environment:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts; and toxic or caustic chemicals
- The employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock
- Hot or cold temperatures
- The noise level in the work environment is loud
Physical Requirements:
- Able to lift or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Compensation details: 65000-75000 Yearly Salary
