The Production Supervisor at our cement plant plays a critical role in overseeing and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure the efficient and safe production of high-quality cement products. This position involves managing a team, monitoring production schedules, and maintaining a commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Team Leadership: Supervise and motivate production staff, providing clear direction and fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Production Oversight: Monitor and optimize production processes, ensuring adherence to quality standards, output targets, and safety protocols.
- Scheduling and Planning: Manage production schedules to meet customer demands while optimizing resource utilization and minimizing downtime.
- Quality Control: Follow and enforce quality control procedures to maintain product integrity and compliance with industry standards.
- Safety Compliance: Prioritize and enforce safety protocols to create a secure working environment, conducting regular safety meetings and promoting a safety-first culture.
- Equipment Maintenance: Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure timely and effective maintenance of production equipment, minimizing disruptions to production.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and increased efficiency; implement best practices to enhance overall plant performance.
- Communication: Foster effective communication within the team and with other departments, ensuring seamless coordination and resolution of production-related issues.

Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience in a supervisory role within a cement plant or similar heavy industry
- Strong knowledge of cement production processes, equipment, and quality standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with MSHA safety regulations and a commitment to creating a safe workplace.
- Knowledge of company environmental standards and requirements.
