Daikin Applied is seeking a 2nd shift Production Supervisor to oversee and coordinate activities of workers engaged in operating a variety of machines to manufacture parts or products.
What you will do:
- Monitor production activities to eliminate delays and ensure adherence to production and shipping schedules
- Assist in carrying out production objectives at the lowest cost, consistent with the organization’s quality requirements
- Assure safety and product quality while improving production procedures
- Coordinate work flow with various departments involved
- Report damaged and defective equipment to management
- Train other employees in day-to-day procedures
- Maintain quality/quantity standards regarding output
- Analyze work orders to estimate worker hours and create machining schedules that meet both internal and external needs
- Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers and assign duties
- Plan flow of materials through department according to work orders
- Inspect and measure parts and products to verify conformance to specifications
- Direct workers in adjusting machines and equipment to repair products that fail to meet standards
- Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules
- Develop, recommend, and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product
- Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew
- Analyze and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving work problems
- Maintain time and production records
- Assist with capital equipment justification for machine tools and process technology to improve quality, cost, and cycle times

Minimum Qualifications:
- 4-year bachelor’s degree
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years manufacturing experience
