As a Production Supervisor you will leads, support and facilitates the processing teams to achieve all goals related to safety, quality, performance, and costs. You will also supervise and direct the department in a manner that will maximize productivity and minimize costs while maintaining quality and sanitation.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage and direct workflow activities regarding productivity safety, quality, and efficiency to meet key goals and objectives.
- Ensures that all Safety Programs, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Good Housekeeping Practices are followed.
- Participate in Behavioral Based Safety observations. Ensures the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment when on the production floor as well as the appropriate use of Lockout/Tag out procedures.
- Collaborates with other Team Leaders, Quality Department, and Maintenance to ensure timely and accurate production of quality products.
- Responsible for administration of the payroll and vacations function for team members through the Kronos payroll system.
- Supervise, schedule, and direct the activities of production crews in their performance of assigned positions including cross training to broaden skills and qualifications.
Basic Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or GED.
Experience: Minimum 2+ years of experience in a supervisory role in a manufacturing environment, preferably food manufacturing.
