About the Role:

  • Dr. Squatch is a hypergrowth personal care brand making waves across the country and beyond! Our state-of-the-art GMP facility in Brea, CA, is looking to add a talented Production Supervisor responsible for leading 2nd shift staffing duties on the manufacturing floor.
  • This role will report to the Production Manager.
  • This is a full-time (onsite) role with company benefits based out of Brea, CA.
  • The anticipated base compensation for this role will be $66,500 to $95,000. Compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and local market
    rates.

What You'll Do:

  • Work with the Production Manager to monitor staffing needs, schedule shifts and ensure optimal team/role assignments each day
  • Work with leaders in other shifts and parts of the factory to develop each other's area
  • Creates and issues disciplinary actions if/as needed
  • Operate material handling and safety equipment, including forklifts, manual pallet trucks, motorized hand/lift trucks for drums, totes and pallets
  • Oversee associates and promote safe and efficient production in all areas
  • Effectively anticipate the needs of each department and make adjustments to meet daily
  • Measure and verify all specifications are met throughout the process of production
  • Follow basic 5S and cleanliness practices
  • Use PC/tablet to input daily production data into database and monitor data
  • Hold daily huddle meetings with teams directing activity
  • Monitor/ improve KPI's and yield loss metrics and make informed decisions for
  • Participate in root cause analysis and deliver on action items assigned
  • Design, implement and revise new systems to increase production/efficiency
  • Lead by example to build and manage a safe and productive team
  • Perform annual and periodic review of the performance of direct reports
  • Motivate, train, coach and develop new employees Physical Demands and Work

    • Additional remarks regarding work environment - Occasional exposure to skin irritants and flammable materials.
    • Specialized equipment, machines, or vehicles used - PPE usage is required at all times while on duty.

About You:

  • Is able to embody Dr. Squatch's values- Scrappy, Play to Win, Team Squatch
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Learner who can solve problems and lead others on the production floor
  • Demonstrated ability to learn on the job and quickly solve problems
  • Someone who has high standards takes ownership and is invested in the outcome and drive the production of our soap cutting team
  • 2+ years demonstrated experience leading/supervising a production team
  • 3+ years of manufacturing experience in Soap, Cosmetics, Personal Care, Food & Beverage or similar Consumer Packaged Goods industry required
  • 3+ years of experience operating handling equipment (manual and electric pallet jack, simultaneously, and operate under significant time pressure
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Interest in health and wellness, personal care, and/or eCommerce industries
  • Someone who gets things done without perfect resources is innovative and works with a sense of urgency
  • Someone who has high standards takes ownership and is invested in the outcome
  • Able to work in a team environment and take direction.
  • Able to work weekends and off shifts (as needed)
  • Able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for the entire shift.
  • Able to maintain balance, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, and wipe.
  • Must have competent skills using a variety of powered machinery.
