Summary

The Production Scheduling Coordinator is responsible to ensure the company’s production schedule updates are coordinated and expedite any changes to the flow of work between departments of scheduling, supply chain departments and production. This position’s core responsibility will be conferring with department managers to determine completion of work progress and completion dates, compiling reports on progress of work, production shifts, and other production related record keeping.

Essential functions:

  • Confer with department supervisors or managers and other personnel on progress and discuss any changes.
  • Compile information, such as production rates, progress, material inventories, materials used, and customer information for status reporting updates on a daily, weekly, and monthly schedule for reporting.
  • Communicate with suppliers to verify shipment details for production schedule planning.
  • Examine documents, materials, and monitor work processes to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards and specifications.
  • Revise production schedule reporting as directed die to back log, shortage of materials, or other interruptions, collaborating with other department members.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Experience using an ERP software system.
  • Ability to read and interpret data.
  • Ability to write reports.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Experience and Education:

  • Associate degree in business administration, or other related field of study
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
