We currently have an opening for a Scheduler based out of Charlestown, Indiana. This position will report to the Production Manager. This role is responsible for performing a variety of duties supporting Production. Candidates must have a thorough understanding of Materials Requirement Planning and advanced computer skills.
The qualified candidate will create a weekly Schedule/Plan for all customer requirements to achieve the inventory level agreed and delivery dates, compliance on hand Inventory, Raw Material Availability, Pool card and Capacity Availability and Average Scrap and downtime per part number. Also, where applicable, create Quarterly and Monthly production forecasts using Information from commercial area, historical demand, customer service area information and statistical analysis, this forecast will be used for resources planning, Propose inventory level for each part number according to its demand in order to ensure customer deliveries, help to increase the productivity and facilitate the resources planning and create a weekly the inventory level agreed and notify in advance to the shipment day to Customer Service area about interruptions in schedule compliance, which might create shortages in Deliveries.
The minimum qualifications are: 2 years related experience as a scheduler within the automotive industry; a thorough understanding of Materials Requirement Planning, Advanced Computer Skills, APICS certificate (Desirable)
