Job Description
Purpose: The Production/Quality Manager will lead Safe Quality Food (SQF) implementation and oversee all functions of product manufacturing for Wicked Mix, Wicked Mini, and any other product line introduction.
This is to be achieved while maintaining superior quality of product and ensuring strict commitment to GMP, FDA regulations, and standard operating procedures. This role will provide leadership and line management to the production team, coordinating their workloads, and providing support to ensure that the team delivers on targets.
Business Objectives:
1. Maximize production efficiency by reducing costs and increasing output
2. Administer all food safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
This role will be instrumental in company supply scale up plan and execution.
Reports to: CEO
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning:
· Deliver manufacturing scale up to coincide with 5-year strategic plan.
· Implement and execute SQF certification.
· Enhance and maintain FG and MRP through improved forecasting procedures.
· Report weekly plan, opportunities, and issues to the leadership team weekly
General and Task Management
· Lead company through HACCP and SQF certification and compliance.
o Closely monitor and maintain all quality and safety standards.
· Manage supplier relationships to
o procure all needed raw materials
o reduce inventory cost
o Production planning and reporting
o Daily/Weekly planning and reporting with Excel and Acumatica
o manage production team and process.
o Monthly finished goods inventory and reconciliation
o Ensure quality standards are met in accordance with FDA, GMP, and SQF.
o Maintain compliance reports and records.
o Make sure company and industry rules and regulations are followed.
· Alert team of potential safety issues or malfunctioning equipment.
· Respond quickly and practically to emergencies, crises, or unexpected problems.
· Additional duties as assigned.
Production Team Management
· Train and integrate new production employees.
· Ensure people and resources are applied in an efficient and effective manner to meet daily production requirements.
· Work positively with support functions to fully define the processes/procedures/controls relevant to team activities.
· Provide support and input to continuous improvement activities within the team.
· Execute employee performance reviews and provide continued personal development.
Relationship Management
· Build strong relationships with all suppliers and develop contingency suppliers.
· Liaise and communicate with other departments and ensure an effective interface.
· Provide feedback to the management team to share ideas and improve operations to optimize results and improve quality of delivery.
Skills/Attributes/Qualifications:
· Strong PC skills mostly Excel
· Excellent verbal and communication skills
· Bilingual preferred (verbal not written)
· Solid understanding of people related processes and procedures
· Excellent problem-solving skills
· Forklift experience preferred
· Experience of assisting and developing (multi-skilled) people
· Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and responsibilities (GMP; SQF; HACCP)
Salary Range: Flexible based on experience
