Production Quality Inspector - Pcbs And Mechanical Parts

Red Canyon Software is looking for a passionate Quality Inspector to help develop the future generation of space lasers! As a certified inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of printed circuit boards and Mechanical Parts used in our optical communications terminals. Leveraging your experience in a similar role, you will conduct thorough inspections, adhering to industry standards and best practices.

6-8 month contract to start

On-site in Broomfield, CO

Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed inspections of printed circuit boards assemblies, harnesses and Mechanical Parts to verify compliance with specifications, standards, and quality requirements.
• First article inspection.
• Suppliers' quality audits.
• Utilize microscopes and measurement tools (caliper, gauges) to assess dimensions, tolerances, surface finishes, and other critical features.
• Follow established inspection procedures and documentation protocols to record findings accurately.
• Identify and document any non-conformities or discrepancies, collaborating with relevant stakeholders to address and resolve issues.
• Maintain a cleanroom working environment and adhere to ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) good practices to prevent damage to sensitive components.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and guidelines while performing inspections.

Required:

• Previous experience in a similar role, conducting inspections of printed circuit boards and Mechanical Parts.
• Valid certification(s) in one or more of the following standards is desired: IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, IPC-J-STD-001.
• Knowledge of ESD good practices and experience working in a cleanroom environment.
• Attention to detail and a meticulous approach to inspection tasks.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively document and communicate inspection findings.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams as needed.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Team work spirit

Preferred:

• Clean room environment experience
• ESD standard practices knowledge
• 3 year experience in a similar position
• Spanish speaking a plus
• Interest in growing your skillset as part of our international team

$30 - $50 an hour
