HII Unmanned Systems is looking for a Production Planner and Scheduler for a newly created value stream. As the Production Planner and Scheduler for this newly created value stream, you will be responsible for the following:
• Lead the value stream's Sales & Operations Planning process.
• Manage the value stream's Master Production Schedule.
• Planning and schedule material acquisition and manufacturing work orders in a traditional MRP environment.
• Develop and maintain labor resource loading plan.
• Partner with the Program Managers who have projects within the value stream.
• Work with Operations team to plan, schedule and control shop floor execution.
• Track the operational aspects of all value stream projects, identify potential obstacles, develop mitigation strategies and communicate to applicable personnel.
• Prepare, attend and contribute to project status meetings.
• Coordinate with Engineering on needed drawing changes, requirements, material, hardware, etc.
• Coordinate with Purchasing to expedite priorities.
• Coordinate with Sub-Contractors on dates for services.
• Communicate and work effectively with team members, other departments and company employees.

What you will be dong...
Plans, prepares, issues and controls production schedules and coordinates with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements. Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed. Schedules equipment and personnel, confirms material supply and demands, prepares work orders or purchase requests for the production or purchase of components or parts based on a master production schedule, shop load and inventory requirements. Coordinates interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, etc.; schedules and expedites the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers and requests for shipping orders.
What we are looking for...

  • 6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a government clearance. #LI-MH1 *TL *EP *MV

• APICS CPIM Certification
• Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel
Physical Requirements
May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
