BASIC FUNCTIONS |
As a Production Planner, you will play a critical role in optimizing production efficiency and ensuring smooth operations within our food manufacturing facility. Responsibilities listed below. The ideal candidate will have proven experience, or recent business undergraduate with high aptitude and ability to learn in a fast-paced environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES |
Position also includes, but is not limited to the following:
Demand Forecasting:
- Ensure optimal inventory levels by forecasting demand accurately.
Integrated Production Planning:
- Develop and maintain a detailed production schedule, incorporating precise production timing requirements.
- Coordinate with various departments to meet production targets and minimize downtime.
Inventory Management:
- Implement inventory control measures to prevent shortages and excesses.
Collaboration with Purchasing Department:
- Work closely with the Purchasing Department to secure timely and cost-effective procurement of raw materials.
- Foster strong relationships to enhance overall supply chain performance.
Continuous Improvement:
- Drive initiatives to improve overall efficiency and contribute to the continuous improvement of the food manufacturing operation.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS |
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Operations Management, or a related business field OR Proven experience in Production Planning, inventory management, and demand forecasting within the food manufacturing industry.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Excel and working knowledge of ERP systems.
- Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on innovation and efficiency.
SUCCESSFUL FACTORS |
- Solid ethical disposition and ability to form business relationships across the organization.
- Solid verbal and written communication skills and 2 to 3 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to analyze, plan, and solve problems.
- Ability to execute sound independent judgement and communicate effectively with staff across the organization.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
