We are an integrated third-party logistics company, with a brokerage division, an in-house long-haul fleet, several warehouses around the country, and a retail consolidation business. We currently operate under three levels of services which include Assets, Brokerage, and Warehousing.
Our freight brokerage business is growing rapidly (operating under the well-established Am Trans brand) and looking for experienced brokers to join our team. Our integrated 3PL business allows brokers to leverage other parts of the business as selling points in ways that traditional brokers can't, making it easier to build relationships and sell to clients.

Job Overview
The primary responsibility of this position is to manage the production scheduler tasks for Fusion Transport. This entails ensuring timely material provision to meet customer demands and maintain optimal finished goods inventory levels. The Production Planning and Control Analyst will oversee adherence to the production plan, adjusting warehouse volume as necessary based on order status reviews and considering potential interruptions that may require rescheduling.
This role involves close collaboration with various departments, including warehousing, transportation, and admin/planning personnel. Participation in cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement initiatives is also essential.
Responsibilities
- Creation and publication of daily schedules and cutting requirements for production to meet demands set forth by the planning department.
- Monitor achievement of production to plan & coordinate scheduling priorities appropriately.
- Daily coordination with other departments, establishment of workflow priorities, and setting task completion goals.
- Monitoring and reporting processes to ensure timely task fulfillment.
- Coordinate with other departments to schedule personnel
- Coordination & communication of scheduling changes due to equipment issues, shift discrepancies, etc.
- Participate in continuous improvement teams, lean manufacturing initiatives and other project teams, provide ERP system support.
Requirements
- Have a bachelor’s degree (preferred) or College Degree/Equivalent
- Have a minimum of 3 years of experience and knowledge in a production related environment.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications including: Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and Power BI reports
- Ability to interpret the work at hand and make sound decisions related to Production Planning with respect to prioritizing schedules, time management & process improvements.
- Experience in an FDA and AIB warehouse environment.
- Demonstrated communication and presentation skills.
- Critical thinking, attention to detail, strong communication skills and diligence
