Description/Job Summary
A Packer, is a production employee responsible for fulfilling orders by arranging inventory in shipping containers and preparing them for shipment. Their duties include performing quality control assessments and stacking items safely and securely in the right packaging.
- Shift available: 12am to 8am, 8am to 4pm, & 4pm to 12am
- Schedule: 2 off days rotated, (NOT a Monday to Friday) must be able to work weekends
- Starting rate: $14.00
- Shift Differentials for evening hours up to $2.00

Responsibilities/Duties
- Prepare packaging for finished product and packaging.
- Ability to read production sheets to ensure proper specs for product being produced and packed.
- Inspect product utilizing bag checks. Document product inspections and report concerns promptly to machine operator or supervisor.
- Remove finished product from production line and package neatly in boxes.
- Weight finished cases and record accurate weights.
- Must have ability to keep up with production process and daily production goals.
- Assist co-workers when needed.
- Keep work area neat and clean.
Required Skills
- Reading Comprehension - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
- Simple Math: Add, subtract, multiply and divide
- Active Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
- Time Management - Managing one's own time and staying busy when there is down time. Production and Processing - Knowledge of production processes, quality control, and other techniques for maximizing our return on investment.
- Mechanical - Knowledge of machines that are used in the production process. Must be aware and abide by all safety operations of equipment.
