Small Tow Motor Operator (Shipping)

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Works from verbal and written instructions as provided by supervisor or another authorized person.
2. Moves lumber to all locations in the Warehouse.
3. Painting logos on bundles as needed per work instructions.
4. Verify bundles on Shipment match Bill of Lading.
5. Loading bundles for Shipments on flat beds and Containers.
6. Maintain Tow Motor (forklift) in good operation condition.
7. Cleans work area as required.
8. Observes good housekeeping practices and prescribed safety precautions.

Qualifications and Required Skills:

• Shipping Experience a plus.
• Ability to work in a face paced environment.
• High School Diploma or GED
• 3 months of previous Tow Motor (forklift) work experience is desired.
• Frequently lifts 25-30 lbs. occasionally lifts boards in excess of 50 lbs. Lifting accomplished anywhere from ground to shoulder level or occasionally above the head.
• Ability to climb on and off the forklift throughout the day.
• Attention to detail and patience are crucial.
• Previous experience with chain saws, tape measures, hand tools, air and electric powered tools are a plus.
