Production Operator
Location: Shannon
What are your main tasks?
- Ensure that work instructions are posted at each assembly station and followed.
- Achieve production schedule (cycle time), daily and weekly production targets.
- Monitor processing of each assembly station striving for single piece flow of daily production run.
- Monitor assembly process and verify part conformance to specification.
- Process auditing final tester checklists.
- Assist Supervisor with coordination of work assignments following work instructions.
- Post hourly and daily totals (productivity, scrap, quality).
- Manage Kanban cards.
- Maintain 5S standards.
- Support team cohesiveness.
- Maintain satisfactory attendance record.
- Assure safe work practices to include proper use and wear of personal protective equipment (safety glasses, etc.).
- Other duties as necessary.
- Responsible for quality decisions in the absence of Quality Department.
What are your qualifications?
WORKPLACE REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be available to work up to 6 days a week
- Ability to perform repetitive rotation and movement of hands and wrists to work quickly and efficiently.
- Able to stand for long periods of time at work station(s).
- Good dexterity.
- Good eye/hand coordination.
- Ability to bend, lift and stretch.
- Ability to successfully interface with customers, associates, and the community.
- Pleasant and tactful approach when dealing with people.
- Self motivated and results oriented.
- Attention to detail.
EDUCATION:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent, preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- Prefer 6 months proven machine operating experience or equivalent in automotive.

- Personal computer skills (Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word)
