Lockwood Distilling Company is a family owned neighborhood distillery, tasting room and restaurant.We serve Southern style, chef crafted food in our scratch kitchen. We have our own spirits thatinclude Vodka, Gin, Bourbon, Rye, Rum and more! Company culture is very important to us as we enjoy spending time with our work family!
This role drives efficiency while overseeing and continuously improving standardized procedures to ensure that high-quality, compliant products get out the door in a timely and cost-effective manner. This individual will maintaining a safe, organized and sanitary environment while ensuring daily records are kept and accurately processed. JOB DESCRIPTION
- Coordinate, maintain, and monitor production processes and procedures to ensure product quality
- Document all required storage and processing information as required per CFRs
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with established policies and procedures.
- Communicate inventory levels and notify the manager of supplies and raw materials that need to be ordered
- Act as backup to other team members in their absence
- Maintain warehouse areas and equipment to ensure day to day production goals are met
- Monitor line employees to ensure specific job related tasks are performed to standards
- Supervise, train and coach production associates on a day-to-day basis
- Conduct and coordinate routine safety and sanitation inspections to promote employee safety, clean work environment, and clean equipment
- Follow and enforce general plant safety, food safety, and good manufacturing practices
- Coordinate breaks and lunches to ensure line continues to run with minimal impact
- Perform general tasks as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 2 years of experience in the food and/or beverage manufacturing business
- Demonstrated ability to develop and run manufacturing processes
- Experience driving continuous improvement programs
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Organized, mechanically skilled, with a desire to be a hands-on leader
- Must be computer proficient. Skills in MS Office, Google Drive, and must demonstrate an ability to learn industry specific technology platforms.
- Must have reliable transportation
