As a Production ManagerIn Training, you will play a vital role in supporting and learning the ins and outs of our production process, inventory management, quality control, and coaching and development of our warehouse personnel.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Participate in the oversight of the overall production process, ensuring adherence to quality and efficiency standards.
- Collaborate in the planning, design, and execution of process improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
- Contribute to the identification and evaluation of new material vendors with a focus on reducing the cost of finished goods.
- Ensure that fleet maintenance procedures are carried out promptly to minimize disruptions.
- Assist in Conducting regularly scheduled Cycle Counts to maintain Inventory accuracy
- Plan production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.
- Review production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates to plan department operations.
- Review production and operating reports and resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
- Encourage employee suggestions, develop safety awareness among employees, and enforce all applicable safety regulations and Company practices and procedures.
- Review maintenance checklists and equipment repair schedules on a regular and frequent basis.
- Supervise hazardous waste programs and all other applicable governmental regulatory agency programs.
- Perform a monthly inventory of production supplies.
- Assist with disassembly and assembly of hybrid batteries
- Assist in organizing and distributing shipments of hybrid batteries and other material
- Sort, Organize, Clean, and Inspect hybrid battery parts
- Assist in the interviewing and hiring of new warehouse personnel
- Assist with training new warehouse personnel
- Assist with coaching and corrective actions for warehouse personnel
- Assume other duties as assigned.
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Some college is strongly preferred but not required
- Must be comfortable with lifting 80 lbs multiple times throughout the day
- Forklift experience is strongly preferred
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Suite and Google Suite applications.
- Previous experience with ERP systems, preferably Syteline.
- Previous experience with inventory management
- Background in production, manufacturing, and remanufacturing processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
- Strong communication skills to facilitate interaction with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
- Effective time management abilities to handle multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative mindset, capable of working closely with various teams to achieve common goals.
