Who we are looking for
A leader who is able to elevate her/his team, manage the Blown Film Extrusion department, and achieve the best production results with the emphasis on quality and efficiency.
What you’ll be doing
This position is responsible for the hands-on management of all extrusion projects and processes, supervisors, leads, shift production employees and production equipment in the Extrusion Department.
- Hands on leadership on the production floor
- Organize work for smooth operations
- Build and mentor a strong team
- Review jobs for production
- Assures proper set-ups and quality checks
- Makes the necessary decisions to maintain maximum rates with high quality
- Continuously grow thorough knowledge of production equipment and operation
- Analyze employee skills in cross training programs and arrange training as required
- Succession planning
- Recommend pay increases or promotions based on employees work performance and progress in gaining job knowledge
- Conduct performance appraisals
- Counsel employees as needs in regards to work performance, attendance, safety or other issues
- Conducts weekly/monthly meetings to keep employees informed on production goals, company policies/rules and safety
- Other duties as assigned
What will help you to succeed
- At least five years of Blown Film manufacturing experience (required).
- Outstanding leadership qualities
- Must have overall knowledge of manufacturing of polyethylene film with strong leadership abilities.
- The ability to run all equipment as well as schedule and perform basic repair and preventive maintenance.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
- A drive to succeed with a self-starter approach and a can-do attitude.
- Must have high school diploma or G.E.D.
