SUMMARY
The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the productive and safe operation of assembly lines for the chassis module stable, keeping the required standards and controlling the designed and proven 4M (Method, Man, Machine, Materials) accordingly, and planning short and long-term objectives for the department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
(To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)
- Control and manage the stable chassis production (both JIS and Lot production)
- Confirm the 4M to produce the chassis module with the right working condition and environment
- Plan and establish work schedules, staffing requirements and production sequences to maximize
productivity
- Design the standard working instruction and process compilation
- Designate the standard documents based on VDA 6.3 and IATF 16949, MPDS
- Train team members on production, safety and related work instructions
- Verify the machine and materials with daily inspection items
- Manage and improve the productivity indexes and chassis module quality
- Lead production activities for industrialization of chassis line
- Verify engineering change (EC) in terms of impact from 4M change to chassis module production
- Maintain the relationship and communication with customers
- Plan short and long-term objectives for the Module Production department
- Coordinate continuous improvement teams to achieve division goals in productivity improvements,
quality improvements and safety goals
- Coordinate corrective action planning to ensure effective root cause analysis and proper
implementation of improvement methods
- Ensure departmental compliance to all company policies, procedures, and safety rules
- Oversee and provide counseling on appropriate progressive discipline per company policies
- Initiate reporting systems to monitor department performance
- Minimize overtime of all assigned Team Members
- Plan and conduct continuous improvement training of supervisory personnel
- Maintain personnel headcount according to business plan
- Conduct annual evaluations (MBO) of supervisory personnel
- Comply with and promote safety in the workplace, to include attendance at safety meetings as well as conduct safety meetings when necessary

Required Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field, plus 8 years of management experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Knowledge of Car structure, especially chassis and powertrain with assembly processes and systems
- Knowledge of APQP and MDS (MDS : Mercedes Development System, if possible)
- Knowledge of VDA 6.3 and/or if possible IATF 16949 system
- Knowledge of VDA-MLA (RGA)
- Knowledge of Mercedes Benz PPA (Part Production Approval) Procedure
- Knowledge of Mercedes Benz Quality IT system (SQMS)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced Analytical skills
- Successful Organizational Management and Leadership Capabilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Autocad or Catia5.0
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
