Production Manager
Reports to: Plant Manger
Supervises: Team Leads, Machine Operators
Job Description:
The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire production process, ensuring that production schedules are met, and quality standards are maintained and followed. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including but not limited to, operations, engineering, and quality control, to drive continuous improvement and achieve operational excellence.
Essential Job Functions:
- Develop and implement production plans that align with business goals, ensuring optimal resource utilization and on-time delivery of products.
- Monitor and adjust production plans as necessary to accommodate changes in demand or resource availability.
- Lead, motivate, and manage a team of production staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure team members meet or exceed expectations.
- Implement and enforce quality control standards to uphold product quality. Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Efficiently manage production resources, including manpower, materials, and equipment, to maximize productivity and minimize waste.
- Monitor production costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising quality or safety standards.
- Proactively identify process inefficiencies and lead initiatives to improve productivity, reduce lead times, and enhance overall operational efficiency.
- Ensure all safety and health standards are met to keep an organization accident-free.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a manufacturing leadership role.
- Experience with ISO 9001:2015 & or AS91000D quality certification experience is a plus.
- Experience in a CNC machine shop.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and other relevant manufacturing software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High degree of drive.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
