JOB PURPOSE:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Coordinates production processes and activities with production team, demand planning, procurement, maintenance, and quality control to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.
- Reviews and analyzes production output, quality trends, equipment downtime, and performance to schedule to determine causes of nonconformity with product specifications and operating or production problems.
- Monitors the production processes, adjusts, or revises production schedules and priorities as result of equipment failure or operating problems, and ensures products are produced efficiently and with the correct quantities, quality, and cost.
- Keeps track of and publishes daily, weekly and monthly production KPIs.
- Collaborates with engineering and quality personnel relative to modification of machines, equipment, and manufacturing processes to improve production and quality of products.
- Develop operational processes, analyze, and improve process and workflow, employee and space requirements, and equipment layout; implement changes.
- Communicate job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions.
- Ensure effective internal communications both within the operations team and across the organization Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists employees in solving work problems.
- Recruit, select, train, assign, schedule, coach and counsel employees.
- Maintain safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.
- Run a safe, injury/accident-free workplace by placing priority on safety training and related actions and driving a safety culture.
- Work closely with Sr. Director of Operations and management team to set and/or implement policies, procedures, and systems and to follow through with implementation.
- Communicate all operating policies and/or issues at department meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, program management, business or related field
- Minimum of five (5) years of recent overall production management experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Experience may be considered equivalent if experience demonstrated increased depth and breadth of responsibility.
- Experience with sheet metal fabrication and/or CNC machining preferred.
- Experience with new product introduction, high-mix / low-volume manufacturing preferred.
- Developing and implementing manufacturing procedures and policies
- Excellent interpersonal communication and organizing skills.
- Good decision-making skills and response to high-pressure situations

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- While performing duties of this job, the employees is regularly required to stand; use hands, and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hand and arms; and talk to hear.
- The employee is occasionally required to lift and climb balancing.
- Frequent walking, bending, lifting and reaching.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) or protective gear on a daily basis.
- Occasionally exposed to risk OD electrical shock.
- Exposed to moving mechanical parts, humid condition, fumes or airborne particles, flying metal burrs and chips and possible chemical irritants such as water-based coolants, hydraulic oils, degreasing soap and mineral spirit.
- Occasionally exposed to uncomfortable cold or heat.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually loud
