Definition of Job Title
The Production Lead is trained and certified in the following disciplines. Creel, Bath, and or Take-up. He or she can train, coach, and manage a group of diverse people to ensure all team members perform the tasks requested per policies and procedures in a safe matter. The Bay Lead needs outstanding communication skills and can motivate a team and create a fair and consistent atmosphere without generating a stressful environment. The Bay Lead follows the shift supervisor direction and works in an autonomous way.
Responsibilities
- If designated by Production Manager, fill in as supervisor when necessary
- Beginning of shift give direction to team members and start check list
- Ensure creel, bath, and take-up operators follow all standard work processes and procedures
- Perform creel, bath, and take-up operator tasks
- Relieve operators for breaks and lunch as needed
- Ensure all documentation is completed and accurate
- Communicate with shift supervisor for directions throughout the shift
- Interact with Quality Monitor throughout the shift
- Inform shift supervisor of any outstanding issues or areas of concern
- Perform other tasks as necessary
Requirements
- Ability to follow and comply with all safety, work, and employment policies and procedures
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers
- Must maintain an excellent attendance record
- Must be able to wear all required personal protective equipment
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time; up to 12 hours
- Must be able to work overtime as required
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds overhead
- Must be able to lift, turn, bend, reach, pull, and walk
- Must be able to fluently speak, read, and write in English

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 48 per week
