The purpose of the role:
Production Helpers are responsible for general operation of production machinery. This position requires significant physical activity and lifting!

Shift hours:
- Monday through Friday: 2:00pm-10:30pm
- Base pay is $20.87/hr. plus $0.50/hr shift differential for swing shift
Job Duties May Include:
- Maintain safe and clean work areas and equipment and follow prescribed safety regulations
- Perform under standard operating conditions
- Load and unload molds
- Operate a lift cart
- Material preparation such as bagging and steel preparation
- Responsible for achieving shift output and quality goals
- Perform daily safety inspections and report all unsafe conditions or near miss events immediately
- Wear all PPE as required
- Follow all environmental and housekeeping requirements
If that sounds like you.... here’s what we need in terms of education and experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 1 year of manufacturing experience preferred. NOTE: Some assignments require the use of air powered tools / hand tools. Experience using hand tools preferred.
- Basic reading and math skills. Must be able to follow directions. High attention to detail.
- Exercises independent initiative/judgement in work methods.
- Ability to lead by example, respectfully work with a team, and communicate with clarity.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
This job operates in a manufacturing environment, and the employee is regularly exposed to loud noises and machinery in an environment that is hot in the summer / cool in the winter. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment including eye protection, hearing protection, work boots, hardhats, etc.
Physical requirements
Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time and perform repetitive motion type tasks regularly. Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Ability to endure heat in a manufacturing environment. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly exposed to repetitive motion, bending, lifting, twisting, crouching, reaching, pushing and/or pulling. While performing this position, the employee frequently works near powered forklifts, and power tools.
