Our growing manufacturing plant is seeking dependable, self-motivated Production Facilities Supervisor
to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Production Facilities Supervisor is actively
leading all production supply chain activities supporting the mixing and packaging of our revolutionary
up-cycled peat-free potting products in a LEAN environment, while driving the expected inventory and
facilities highest quality standards. The position will work as a team leader and mentor at the regular
safety huddles, 5S activities, lean Kaizen events, and other continuous improvement activities to improve
existing supply chain processes in the respective work area.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
5-10 years' experience within a supply chain or distribution environment.
Degree / Diploma / GED or equivalent work experience.
Experience MS office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate
Experience in ERP systems would be considered an asset.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate problems, and how solutions will affect
others.
Must be able to adapt to changing priorities, deadlines, and directions.
Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by coaching and teaching the
supply chain facilities team.
Experience or preferably a Forklift License is required.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for overall plant organization, cleanliness, shipping/receiving, and heavy
forklift/bobcat maintenance.
Supervises team over various shifts responsible for plant organization, cleanliness, and general
maintenance
Maintain accurate records of shipping schedule, batches, and shipment due dates.
Responsible for the supply chain teams job cycle and completion of all necessary paperwork.
Plan and prepare shipment of final products according to customer requirements
Maintain detailed, organized records of batches and inventory stock levels, including raw,
packaging and pallets.
Communicate with upper management regarding order status and deadlines
Lead teams to perform tasks for the daily shipping and receiving.
Supervise the supply chain teams while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments
to produce a better outcome.
Inspect finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been
completed properly
Organize raw materials and finished goods in proper areas both inside and outside of the factory.
Ensure all finished goods stored outside are covered and kept dry at all times (under awnings, tarps,
or capped and wrapped.
Receive, inspect, and weigh inbound raw materials as necessary. Document problems for feedback
to vendors.
Prepare finished goods for shipping and store in designated areas.
Manage all outbound customer shipments.
Ensure trash and broken pallet pickups to prevent accumulation of each.
Prepare factory for monthly inventory audits and help conduct audits.
Maintain tracking of all packaging completed by packaging shifts and ID finished goods ready for
shipment.
Communicate with Operations Manager on all orders ready to be filled/shipped and communicate
with Plant Manager on any items needed to be manufactured or packaged to fill specific open
orders.
Provide oversight/maintenance for all packaging and wrapping equipment.
Use camera monitoring and recording to share any abuse/damage to equipment with shift
supervisors and plant manager.
Identify and help to document poor quality products and/or production data.
Cross train team members on multiple processes and/or equipment as required.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives (e.g. general problem solving, 5S, Safety audits, etc.).
Other duties as assigned by management team
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Ability to handle multiple tasks.
Ability to lead innovative and constructive ideas for improvement.
Motivated and driven to facilities organization
Good communication and interpersonal skills that works well coaching others in a team-based
environment
English comprehension (verbal/written communication), and comprehension of basic mathematics
Willingness to learn, and teach others
Ability to work grow a team
Attention to detail and safety, a must
Ability to lift 20-30 pounds repeatedly and stand over an eight (8) hour shift.

Multiple shifts available (overtime may be required during the busy season)
Starting rate: $25,000 - $45,000
