In this role, you will be responsible for supervising the maintenance staff, conducting performance evaluations, and overseeing staff development; inspecting work to ensure code and specifications compliance; maintaining time records and scheduling work assignments; reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications; and providing estimates for materials and labor needed for projects.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
  • Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • Two years of skilled trades work experience in commercial, industrial, multi-unit residential facilities, or utility plant operations; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Necessary Special Requirements:
  • You must be in possession of a valid PA noncommercial Class C driver's license or equivalent.

Additional Requirement:
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Supervisory experience in the trade fields.
  • Experience in creating estimates, ordering materials, or laying out projects.
  • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, technical or rough sketches.
  • Experience in building and plant maintenance work involving at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades.
  • Experience in commercial carpentry.
  • Experience working in the plumbing trade field.
  • Experience working in the electrical trade field.
  • Experience working in the maintenance and repair of refrigeration and/or HVAC systems.
  • Experience in commercial maintenance of buildings and equipment.
  • Experience with 3-phase wiring to include emergency generators, Automatic Transfer Switches, switch gears and 3-phase panels.
  • Experience with domestic hot water mixing valves, recirculating loops, aqua stats, and instantaneous water heaters.
  • Experience with the provisions of Life Safety Codes and Uniform Construction Code (UCC), relating to the repair of buildings.
  • Structural experience in the maintenance or repair of buildings.
  • Completion of formal training in a skilled building, electrical, or mechanical trade.
