Production Engineering Intern

Lucifer Lighting has an amazing opportunity for a Product Engineer Intern. The Product EngineerInternwill work directly on new product implementation while working under the guidance of a Senior Engineer and will assist with many of the design related activities required during that process.  This will include performing photometric tests, electrical performance measurements, assisting with the product design, production drawings, etc.  The goal is to provide real-world application experience, allowing the participant to learn and grow while being a productive member of our firm!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist design Engineers with actions required for new product introduction.
• Performs goniophotometer measurements, and comparison analytics.
• Working in Solidworks to implement design enhancements.
• Complete component and assembly drawings as needed.
• Updating Bills of Material as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong work ethic and drive
• High mechanical aptitude
• Strong attention to detail
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office suite to include Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
• Demonstrated ability in analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with all levels of staff from hourly workers to company executives.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Architectural engineering
