Production-Baker's Apprentice

Hello Bend! Sparrow Bakery is looking to hire 2 Baker's Apprentices - could be Part-Time (2-3 days/week) or Full-Time (4 days/week). We are looking for a committed, industry professional, who is ready to land a serious career in baking. Ideal candidates will have food service or some baking experience, but this is an entry-level position so no experience is required to apply! It makes a huge difference and greatly increases your chance of getting noticed.

Apprentice Production Bakers work with a senior team on various aspects of our bread baking program including but not limited to shaping and or laminating pastry dough, hand shaping bread, baking brioche products and English muffins, packing/labeling products for retail and wholesale delivery. Someone in this position will generally have a more senior baker working beside them and guiding them through the shift, even after training ends. This apprenticeship will also include some bread packing, and delivery driver training - which calls for an early start time of 4am for some shifts. All candidates must be 19+ years old and have a valid Oregon Drivers License.

Pay will depend upon relevant experience:

• Starting wage of $18.50/hour + the opportunity for an increase after 6 months.
