ScribeConcepts is seeking an experienced Production Associate with experience in managing extensive content in a fast-paced environment. This individual will also be able to translate design specifications into project templates, and execute complex page layouts, animations, and multimedia designs.
Responsibilities:
- Lay out large volumes of content — consistency and speed are key in our workflows
- Interpret/translate design specs in order to complete project master templates and style sheets
- Provide complex 4C (four color) page building composition, art conceptualization, multimedia interface design and animation, package template files, and tech art creation.
- Pour content from Google Docs or Word files into Adobe InDesign, and apply styles provided in shell files/templates or indicated on provided style guides
- Update necessary content in headers, title page, etc.
- Link content from master InDesign files
- Build book files with files in correct order with correct page numbering
- Provide upfront quality assurance
- Implements project workflows within defined schedule and budget parameters
- Import and apply/accept/verify Adobe InDesign edits as indicated on PDF proof markups
- Export book files as PDFs using specified settings
- For designated projects, provide setup and design review of PowerPoint or Google Slide presentations.
- QC/Flightcheck production files and make all necessary fixes
- Collect QC'd production files for final file release to client or printer
- Create PDF files per printer specifications
- Must complete a vetting task in InDesign via a shared Dropbox folder
- Follow strict file naming conventions and file set-up guidelines
- Work with consultants to assure projects are running smoothly
- Update Monday boards to reflect the current status of project
Education, Experience, Skills Required:
- Bachelor's degree desired
- 5 years of print production educational publishing experience, with a background in digital content and delivery a plus
- Experienced in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, PhotoShop and Acrobat) and Monday.com is required
- Familiarity with publishing CMS such as K4, and Digital Asset Management systems
- Pre-press knowledge from file to printed piece, including a deep understanding of proofing, dot gain, four-color process etc.
Pay range: $50,000 - $60,000 pay will be based on experience.
