Sofa Biz is a small business in Sandy, UT. We make high-quality upholstered furniture like sofas, sectionals, and love seats. We also offer reupholstery and repair services. We've been in business for 40 years and are continuing to grow.

The role of the Production Assistant includes measuring and cutting fabric for sofas and cushions, measuring and cutting foam and stuffing cushions.
As a custom furniture manufacturer we frequently have new challenges that we solve as a team. As a result collaboration and problem solving skills are a requirement.
Use of some tools required such as saws, measuring tapes, steamers, and, blades. This position also helps manage the inventory of products used in the cushion area and informs management when something needs to be reordered.
Previous experience is not necessary, but interest and experience in creating or crafting would be helpful.
Requirements:
-Must be able to stand for long hours.
-Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
-Must be able to reach and lift materials from shelving.
-Basic math and measuring.
-Critical thinking
Job Types: Part-time, Temp-to-hire, Temporary
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
